Our Services

serversThe Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen continues to be financially healthy but declining income and dwindling reserves are of major concern.

L.I.N.K. is a total community effort involving religious, civic and social groups, businesses, and individuals. Groups adopt a day to prepare and serve a meal. Members of the group typically cook casseroles or other meals that will server large groups in their homes and bring them to the L.I.N.K. kitchen.

Meals are served on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.  If your group is smaller, you can work with our Coordinator to create a partnership with other small groups to provide and serve a meal.

A part-time coordinator is employed by L.I.N.K. to facilitate the actual operation of the program and to provide continuity for the volunteers.

The Board of Directors meets at 5:00pm on the second Tuesday of every month in the L.I.N.K. dining room and creates L.I.N.K.’s policies.  All participating groups are members of LINK and are welcome to our annual meeting, which usually is held on the second Tuesday of August, prior to the regular board meeting.  Member of participating groups are also welcome to attend Board meetings.
