In 1985 the founders of LINK understood that hunger is not just physical, and that eating in community nourishes both the body and soul.
The spirit of this mission has been completely undermined by the pandemic.
Leaving our guests to eat their meals outside cuts across the heart of our fundamental purpose. We see close up, the hardship many people face. We feel it. Still they thank us, turn their backs to walk up the stairs to eat outside carrying their to-go meals, water bottles, milk cartons, and fruit. Some even balance a coffee amidst their lunch and belongings.
The reality of this fuels our push to create a new lunch experience, that gets folks out of the weather and back into a safe and healthy dining room . This raises the cost per meal 65 cents.
Help us make up the difference. Let’s take the load off together!
