Thanksgiving 2020 - Cautious about COVID, but No Less Epic!

First off…

The Lawrence community is AWESOME!  Since the beginning of the pandemic L.I.N.K. has made necessary modifications to continue to serve meals and our supporters and volunteers have made those changes alongside us. Thank you!

Safety is #1

This year Thanksgiving will be handled a little differently, but with your help and donations, YOUR community will serve 100’s of meals to our homeless, elderly, shut-in, people with disabilities and those struggling financially.

1. This year we will minimize food handling by turning much of the prep work over to Steve Maceli, who by the way, helps with this meal every year! This includes mashed potatoes and stuffing.  A LINK volunteer will call soon to give details about what these changes mean for your group.
2. Fewer volunteers are required to prepare meals for delivery.
3. Delivery drivers will do curbside pick up instead of coming into Maceli’s.

Pray for good weather!

1. Pray for great weather! Spaced out tables in the parking lot will provide a safe, socially distanced meal site outdoors, under a tent no less!
2. Volunteers will be needed outdoors, wearing masks with appropriate protocols.
